Although
primers in an air cabin are not always necessary
for securing adhesion and corrosion there are certainly
some good reasons to apply them anyway.
Even
an overhaul job looks much better as a primer will
hide sanding marks due to the better filling properties
versus a one finish coat application.
Request
a close match color primer to the finish coat, hence
reducing the quantity of the finish coat.
No
forgotten spots at hard to reach areas.
Sealing
off contaminated substrates e.g. nicotine spots
(older aircraft) etc.
Once
cleaned and masked, the minimal extra costs of enrolling
one extra spray procedure is for these reasons worth
considering.
A
very new progression is an "In Mould Coating".
Applied in the mould prior to the production of
honeycomb core panels. This process expels pore
filling and many hours of sanding. Request a demo
to start savings to a greater extend.
